Germania Insurance - RIP OFF -DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!
3/20/18 ,My 2011 Kia was totaled the atfault person had Germania Ins., claims adjuster Melissa Hynes was rude the 1 time I actually spoke with her as she was impossible to get on the phone or to reply back to my emails, My lien holder contacted Melissa and was told to send over a letter of guarantee saying they would release the title to Germania once they received a check for $8000.20 to payoff my $9854.32 loan balance. My lien holder agreed to accept $8000.20 and write off the balance of $1854.12.
On 4/6/2018 Germania received the letter of guarantee they requested along with copy of title from my lien holder. Since then Germania has taken it upon themselves to make the decision that I was going to owner retain the wrecked car and only pay my lien holder $5300 instead of $8000, like they had agreed on. I have given them the address to pickup the car multiple times yet they still haven't came and got it, I spoke with Bredan Bass a supervisor who was more rude and hateful than the claims rep., they told me it was too late there was nothing more they were going to do that they considered the claim closed. My lien holder is currently contacting the Texas Insurance Commissioner about the shady ways this company is conducting business.
Consumer beware, this company is unfair and only out to rip you off and cheat you out of the money you are rightfully owed for your vehicle! This company needs to be shut down because what they are doing is illegal.
Reason of review: Problems with payment.

Do not use this insurance company, been with them since the eighties, filed two claims in all those years and one was denied and the other one a water pipe burst under the house and ruined my hard wood floors. I turned in a claim and was told since I didnt file within fourteen days of the incident they would not cover me.
We didnt even know of the leak until about a month later and the adjuster wouldnt even consider the loss since I didnt file it in the fourteen days of the freeze.
How the *** was I supposed to know about the leak, crawl under the house every day? Find someone else!
