Cut repairs too close to get repairs done according to their estimate. Labor and materials cut way low.
Been in the claim business for way more time than anyone with there claim dept including any claim supervisors. Will be back with insurance board in the near future. You guys are cheating your customers and I will show it in proof provided by many working roofing companies. I'm sure the state board will see and analyze some of your business habits that are presented to them.
To bad your company is dishonest and should be barred in Texas and I will show this. Examples of this are prices of roofing and labor cost. Also telling me the roofing company I have to use. Roofing is determined by the local prices for a storm area when a cat.
Loss occurs rather than looking for the roofing company that Germania says I have to use.
We will see what the state has to say. Guys this is definitely unfair claim Practices.

DO NOT USE GERMANIA...EVER
We have had Germania Insurance for 22 years, including home, auto and life insurance, but that is about to change. Our annual home premium just jumped by 62%.
We have not had a claim since Hurricane Ike in 2008. We did not flood, nor did we have any damage from either Harvey or Imelda.
Our Auto policies just jumped 28%, although we have not had an at-fault claim in 7 years.
We are currently fighting to get Germania to subrogate with Farmers Insurance after my wife was rear ended, but the other party has refused to cooperate.
I can't get Germania's claims department to call me back on the auto claim. My local agent, Mike Bayless in Lumberton was very unconcerned about the outrageous rate increases, once I FINALLY got him to return my calls.

If I could rate them 0 stars I would. They sent me a letter increasing my insurance by nearly $100 without any call, email, or letter prior to this time, NOTHING.
3 days before my insurance was set to renew. I planned on staying but if I had known about that even a week before now I wouldve cancelled. They gave me 1 full day to shop around and cancel and it didnt help my agent didnt reply to my email or calls.
Now that it is a weekend, Im stuck not being able to do anything when my renewal starts Monday morning when Ive already found way cheaper insurance. DO NOT RECOMMEND .

The company it self is not the problem its seven oaks insurance in hondo that carries your logo terrible Bedside manners no return phone calls had to call main office to get help the ladies at the main office where ever you are are great lots of help for a first timer but the one in Hondo Texas is horrible with that said Iam looking for a different insurance agent can you help me so I dont have to deal with Hondo insurance Seven Oaks if I can deal with someone directly from germina I would appreciated it we have been with company for 11 years and would hate to part ways thank you for your time

My complaint consist of lack of integrity and customer communication . A rep was rude to my father who is a senior citizen 94 yrs a Ww 2 veteran and has been lied to during this claim and yet has not received his money for his claim . I will contact attorney general as well as the news media to expose Germanias practices.

When their insured is 100% at fault, they try to hide
Auto accident in April of 2018. Their 90+ year old driver was traveling at a high rate of speed in a 35 mph zone and crashed into a line of traffic stopped for a red light.
Accident totaled Ford SUV behind me, my new company car, and knocked me into the truck in front of me.
Germania quickly denied me a rental vehicle to replace my company car, impacting my ability to earn my income.
Germania would not respond to emails or phone calls for the next year.
They finally responded when they read my email advising them I was filing a complaint with the BBB, Texas Attorney General, and Texas Department of Insurance.
I signed a release for them to get my medical, but they have not done so up until this point.
As they did not attempt to settle case in a timely manner, they have opened themselves to an unfair claims practice. They owe:
1. a written letter of apology from a high ranking official
2. settlement of bodily injury claim
3.
suspension/revocation of adjuster's license
4. fine of company for unfair claims practice
The excuses they have used up until this point:
1. We didn't have your phone # - this is false as both home and cell are listed on my emails (which they had numerous)
2. We don't have his medical records - this is false as I signed a release for them to get them.
One of the doctors retired and sold his practice, but I was able to send them a copy of his notes.

Policy limits - I'm not asking anywhere near the policy limits (even with them having a minimum limit policy)
BBB and Texas Attorney General have said the case resides with the Texas Department of Insurance (TDI). TDI using same excuses Germania is using, so we are getting nowhere.

Lack of repairs
Damage to roof and won't cover it. Say I need to spend 7500 out of pocket to get a new roof when I'm seeing all of my neighbors get theirs replaced
Resolved: 30 days and counting
Germania accepted liability after 30 business days from the accident. Claim estimate was resubmitted.
Original amount paid out was lower than estimated, but a supplemental amount was submitted and approved the next day. This entire review though, could have been prevented with simple communication.
The next day Germania called and I gave them my statement. They've had all requested documents for 3+ weeks now. I have called multiple times and left multiple messages for a status of the claim. Apparently there is only one person that can determine liability, and she will not return any calls.
Basically they are trying to not take liability, EVEN WHEN THEIR DRIVER REAR-ENDED A STOPPED VEHICLE. Not sure how much more clear cut a case could be...

They were always very good with my family, Sad to see so many complaints I never experienced any issues in 20 years. I am sincere this is not a fake review.
I recently left because of the rates and I couldn't ignore the fact that I could get more coverage for less BUT they were always timely, professional and took care of my family. Through hail damage and a twice flooded house.

I hope that anyone who is considering purchasing this insurance has an opportunity to read this first-----we have a small ranch in Valley View, Texas. On June 1, 2019, there was what is called a "micro-burst" in our area and it absolutely destroyed things and looked like a small tornado whirling things around and into our home, barn, horse trailer and even our vehicles.
It was strong enough winds that it put the smaller metal swing set into the back of one of the trucks and demolished the grand babies SkyFort !!! It was awful. Of course we called the insurance company the following Monday and the property claim has gone well.....the vehicle claim - - NOT SO MUCH! It starts with the agent.
The original agent we had has since retired and now we have this "Kevin". He is about as uneducated as we are, and from where I stand in this - - the reason we have an agent is to guide us. Well, he has us to take the vehicles for an estimate. James Wood, in Denton, was very nice and enlightened us that this is not the proper procedure.
So, I returned home and started over. The agent stated that he could go ahead and start the claim and he did.
Next thing you know, an appraiser is coming to our home. He does. He doesn't speak to my husband except to say that he was going to take photos of our vehicles.
10 minutes later, he is gone. Next thing you know we are being told that we don't have hail damages and now we are being sent to the "INVESTIGATIONS Department". As of today, the Investigator has done interrogation on us, as we had a recorded conversation about the happenings. He has asked or photos, we have provided them and additionally suggested that he speak to the property claim adjuster, as she took her own photos, as well.
He has now informed us that he will be having an "engineer" to come to our ranch and determine if this actually happened as we have described and even went as far to ask if we took any photos during the storm or had any video???? Seriously ????
Look, we have an 11 year old autistic son that was completely freaked out when this happened and the VERY last thing on our mind was "PHOTOS"!!!!!!
All in All----GERMANIA INSURANCE COMPANY STINKS AND DEALING WITH THEM HAS BEEN A COMPLETE NIGHTMARE.

As of today, July 2, 2019....all three of our vehicles are damaged and they could care less.

I backed out in a parking lot then Germania customer decided he wanted to back out ,out got out of my vehicle tried to get him to stop he continued to back up he hit my car and started to pull off but his bumper stopped him the police officer statement said white white Chevy didn't see the Nissan, Chevy stuck Nissan not the other way around but now they trying to say both of use are at fault they just don't want to pay for the full damages to my car 4000 in damages they want to pay half , police statements don't mean nothing to them
Germania is who I thought they were
I had insurance with this company for well over 16 years, during which time I had one previous claim for my roof I believe in all that time. Then in 2017 my water heater flooded my house and Ruined my carpet and baseboards which I had to file a claim.
Shortly after a huge storm came and destroyed half our town including my property and house causing me to have to file a second claim. Well, on my first claim I was only given 2500 to rip up the carpet haul it off take up the tack strip, repaint and repair the walls and baseboards, etc..and replace the flooring, yeah like that would pay for it. I am a single Mom, I work in law enforcement, and go to school, and have no one to help me and no other income, I got an extension an and finally saved to get everything done but the floors installed and emailed the company with the pictures and request for the remainder of my claim allowance to allow me to pay to have the floors installed on 10/25, and I was told sorry your date to ask for the remainder of your allowance was 10/24, and your claim is closed.
Also they dropped my coverage. I just can't even believe it, I can't stop crying, I don't know what I'm going to do.

Dropped them and went to All State Insurance!!! Germania insurance the worst EVER!!! Would not recommend them to NO ONE
